Responsible end-of-life handling

Solar panel disposal

We accept end-of-life solar panels for recycling and route them to appropriate downstream processing. Contact us before moving panels so the load and handling needs can be assessed.

Assessment

Describe the panels and site

Site and project

Provide the suburb, panel quantity and type if known, access details and whether the panels are still installed.

Condition and attachments

Disclose breakage, fire or storm damage, contamination, loose parts and attached equipment.

Handling

Prepare panels carefully

Do not dismantle, cut or crush panels. Keep removed panels stable. Connected equipment should be isolated and removed by an appropriately qualified solar or electrical professional.

Movement

Confirm arrangements before transport

Collection, drop-off, access, packaging and any other project arrangements are confirmed for the particular load. Do not move broken or contaminated panels until handling requirements have been discussed.

Outcome

Appropriate downstream processing

Accepted end-of-life panels are routed to appropriate downstream processing. We do not claim a recovery percentage, environmental saving or named credential.
