End-of-life solar panels

Solar panel recycling

We accept end-of-life panels for recycling and route them to appropriate downstream processing. Project arrangements depend on the panels, condition, location and access.

Project details

What we need to know

  • Site suburb and postcode
  • Panel quantity, type and dimensions if known
  • Condition, breakage or contamination
  • Whether panels are installed or already removed
  • Site access and loading information

Also identify attached equipment or loose parts. Batteries, inverters and mounting hardware should be described separately rather than assumed to follow the same route.

How it works

From enquiry to downstream processing

1 · Describe

Provide the panel, site, condition and access details.

2 · Confirm

We discuss acceptance and the practical movement arrangements for the project.

3 · Route

Accepted end-of-life panels are routed to appropriate downstream processing.

Safe handling

Do not dismantle panels

Keep removed panels stable and do not cut, crush or dismantle them. Installed electrical equipment should be isolated and removed by an appropriately qualified solar or electrical professional.

Disclose broken glass, fire or storm damage, contamination and loose components before arranging movement.

Recycling outcomes

Claims based on the actual route

We do not promise a recovery percentage or environmental saving. Ask what project information can be provided for the particular recycling route.

Questions

Confirm the project scope

Can I bring household panels?

Send the project details first so acceptance and movement arrangements can be confirmed.

Do you remove panels from roofs?

Do not assume deinstallation is included. Arrange removal through an appropriately qualified solar or electrical professional unless a confirmed project scope says otherwise.
